We are looking for a Product Manager to be hired in our Transmission Division. We provide state-of-the-art solutions for High Voltage Underground and Submarine cable links in some of the world’s most challenging environments. We offer an exciting role into a diverse and dynamic Team and environment.

Overall Purpose of the Job

Support the HVDC Product Manager to ensure the management of a cohesive Product Portfolio in line with the Company growth objectives.

Drive the Product offerings, their development & commercialization

Identify and develop technical and commercial opportunities during the pre-ITT/FEED stages

Country of Operation (Subject to change as per the business needs): ITALY

Country of Responsibility: Worldwide

Customer profile: TSO, Developers, O&G Operators and Utilities

Team Overview and Job responsibilities

You will be in charge of:

Engage with Customers during pre-ITT/FEED stages to deepen the understanding of requirements and prepare a techno-economical analysis of the different transmission solutions

Gather Market Data, perform Competitive Analysis and benchmark competition

Maintain professional and technical knowledge and participate in Industry related events

Support the HVDC Product Manager to guide internal Stakeholders on expectations and support in identifying R&D projects aligned to the Company strategy

Provide guidance & product information to Sales Managers and convey relevant market data & competitive analysis to the Team

Liaise with relevant Functions to translate Customer requirements into viable and value-added proposals

Review prepared costs of Product and advise market pricing levels

Attend Tender Review Meetings, Tender Price Approval meetings and internal Kick of Meetings if requested

Oversee entire Product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

Support the HVDC Product Manager in evaluating performance & gaps in the Product and maintaining a Product Roadmap

Travel Requirements: worldwide frequent travels may be required up to 40% of working time.

Who are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

Honours degree in Material, Energy or Electrical engineering

Technical knowledge of HVDC Systems (system configurations, main components, operations, etc.)

Basic Business and Marketing skills (macroeconomics, cost/price structures, financial metrics)

1 to 3 years of experience in Engineering/Technical roles in the Energy Industry

Team working capability

Problem solving and target oriented

Fluent in English, written and spoken

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of the Submarine and HV cable business/market is a plus

Technical and Commercial presentation skills

Flexibility and capability to manage changes during the work

Good relationship approach

IT skills: MS Office, Project planning tools, Presentation PPT expertise
