Nip and Tuck Plastic Surgery, LLC is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA.

The Medical Assistant is accountable for providing quality care services and assisting the patients as needed in order to ensure a positive patient experience. The Medical Assistant will ensure that all patients, guests, visitors, guests and team members receive personalized, prompt attention and are treated with receptiveness, dignity and respect.The Medical Assistant will represent the practice and establish a positive rapport with patients. Responsibilities

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments and surgeries, and maintaining EMR and accounts.

Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette.

Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized.

Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information according to established protocols.

Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance.

Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy.

Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff.

Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner.

Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records and keeping an accurate documentation of patient visits.

Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.

Maintains business office and medical inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.

Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.

Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism.

Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.

Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.

Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.

Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information.

Collect co-pays and payments.

Verify insurance eligibility and confirm upcoming appointments.

Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals.

Respond and comply with requests for information.

Complete other clerical duties as assigned.

Performs patient care, including vital signs, weights, rooming, assisting with procedures, medication administration (vaccinations) and injections and other necessary tests.

Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.

Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.

Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.

Prepares the necessary information (i.e. lab and procedural results), equipment and supplies for exam and surgeries.

Assists the physician with maintaining preventive health measures for a panel of patients.

Perform Post-Op massages.

Who are you:

Experience in one or more of the following: medispa and/or plastic or cosmetic surgery office (preferred), hospitality, retail, or customer service settings

Works well autonomously, and at varying paces with regard to workflow.

Willingness and flexibility to periodically be of assistance for duties that may be outside the scope of job position

Comfortable using basic computer technologies, and a variety of internet and scheduling software applications, ie: Symplast

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based patient care / medical practice management and scheduling software

Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously

Familiarity with scheduling, rearranging appointments and triaging calls

Charismatic, friendly, helpful personality, always putting the needs of customers/patients first

Pleasant and friendly speaking voice and demeanor

Neat and professional appearance

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management skills and accuracy

Dependability, trustworthy, enthusiastic, positive attitude

Inquisitive, resourceful, and proactive

Capacity to retain knowledge of our services and products with ability to process product sales

Work well with others in a team environment

Bilingual is a plus.

Knowledge in Financing options such as Lending USA, PatientFi, Alphaeon, United Medical and CareCredit are a plus.

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM, Friday 8:00AM-12:00PM

Experience:

EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

Computer Skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. College degree, working towards degree, or secondary diploma is preferred.

License/Certification:

BLS Certification (Preferred)
