Senior Java Engineer (all genders)

Your responsibilities

Responsible for hands-on product development, primarily focused on our logistics platform.

Support the design and implementation of our new platform with increased usability following cloud native development processes.

Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.

Implementing DevOps mindset within the team and promoting problem solving mindset as well as analytical thinking.

Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

Responsible for documentation of solutions and contributing to practises and processes such as code reviews.

Your qualifications

Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

At least 6 years of experience developing with Java [must have worked on at least Java 8]

3 years of experience building backend microservices using SpringBoot

Experience as Java developer working with patterns and concepts such as MACH, TDD, DRY.

RDBMS experience writing SQL queries.

Should have a good understanding of refactoring, unit testing and integration testing

Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
