Lead Electrical Engineer

One of the top manufacturers of custom-designed low and medium voltage power distribution equipment is hiring for a Lead Electrical Engineer. The preferred candidate should possess experience in the design of low or medium voltage switchgear.

Responsibilities:

Develop electrical drawings in accordance with industry standards and project specifications for assigned projects, including revising, resubmitting, and releasing approved drawings and bill of materials to production.

Participate in project kick-off meetings and assist in establishing project schedule dates.

Aid in assigning projects and providing design support to engineering personnel and designers, which includes reviewing, commenting, and approving customer submittal packages to ensure alignment with estimation package, customer specifications, and bid drawings.

Take the lead in providing electrical engineering production support throughout wiring and assembly processes, collaborating with Quality Control (QC) on engineering changes and non-conformances, and documenting and implementing corrective actions.

Demonstrate leadership and dedication to the Company Quality Management System by:

Participating in assessing the effectiveness of engineering processes and procedures within the quality management system.

Offering feedback and suggestions for changes to engineering-related quality policy and quality objectives to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic direction.

Engaging and supporting individuals to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
