Job Description:

Role Overview:

As a Cloud Engineer supporting our customer's AWS environment, you'll be instrumental in optimizing and maintaining their cloud infrastructure. From ensuring security and reliability to driving innovation, you'll oversee all aspects of cloud operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the smooth operation of our customer's cloud-based ecommerce platform, prioritizing security and reliability for their customers and partners. Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems, collaborating with teams for proactive issue detection and resolution. Lead response efforts during critical incidents, conducting thorough root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence. Evaluate existing systems for effectiveness and efficiency, contributing to enhancement strategies. Develop and execute a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, conducting regular testing to ensure readiness. Create and maintain clear documentation and architectural diagrams to depict our customer's cloud ecosystem. Act as the primary liaison with external cloud partners, managing relationships and overseeing service delivery. Provide guidance on cloud data management strategies and techniques, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, advising on organizational roadmaps and leading adoption efforts.

Work Arrangements:

Full-Time Onsite: Work all regularly scheduled days onsite. Hybrid: Work 3 regularly scheduled days onsite, with 2 days off-site weekly.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields, or equivalent experience. Industry certifications preferred.

Experience:

5 years’ experience in cloud environments, with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, data management, and DevOps. Proven track record of designing and deploying business-critical applications in the cloud. Proficiency with production monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and CloudWatch. Experience with DevOps practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Preferred experience in E-Commerce Cloud environments.
