We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our client’s financial operations. The Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial policies and controls. The successful candidate will bring expertise in managing finances in an educational environment and will contribute to the overall financial health of the institution.

Focus:

Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, financial transactions, revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance.

Lead the preparation and analysis of budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Maintain high standards of financial accuracy and control through quality assurance and policy development.

Provide strong leadership and support to the finance team, ensuring effective daily operations and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with external auditors and manage tax planning to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes, including the use of accounting software.

Skill Set:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Outstanding leadership ability, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
