Technical Writer (Battery/Renewables) - Fremont, CA

I am working with an established startup that has raised over $100million and have expanded their operations across the USA. They have been working on a state-of-the-art product that is leading the industry within the energy sector so it would be a great time to join their team at their global HQ in Fremont, CA.

Responsibilities:

Support the Product Engineering team to obtain an understanding for the Battery Technology they are creating which includes BMS, Racking and Thermal Management

Produce high quality technical documentation that is appropriate for the intended audience

Prepare installation manuals and instructions for the customer

Manage document control for both external and internal facing documents

Update and improve existing technical documentation

Essential Skills:

3+ Years experience writing technical documentation

Able to deliver highly technical documentation, paying attention to detail

Must have the ability to understand complexed engineering information and be able to make it understandable to a non-technical customer

Preferred Skills:

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not essential

Experience with Project Management tools (Propel PLM or Asana)

Familiarity with UL/CE certifications
