Electrical and Instrument Supervisor- Full time opportunity

Our client is a leader in sustainable materials management providing environmental solutions to businesses and communities across North America.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the qualified individual will be responsible for the daily operations of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Department. The role oversees day-to-day operations and activities of the department and ensures administrative requirements of the team are fulfilled. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

Proficient with industrial electrical generation and distribution systems; electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems for various industrial process equipment; industrial programmable logic control; and data acquisition systems.

Applied knowledge of the NFPA70E and NEC regulations.

Must be knowledgeable in using Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and ABB S+

Practical understanding of electrical systems such as variable frequency drives, protective relays, high voltage drives, transformers and switchgear, and power distribution systems.

Solid background in project management, job planning, setup, execution, job cost and time estimating.

Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects, PeopleSoft/ALM asset management and data management software is a plus.

Ability to use technical manuals, internet, vendors and other applicable resources to find appropriate repair procedures or parts for the maintenance of plant equipment.

Skilled to lead by example and motivate others to face challenging situations in a safe, positive, and efficient manner.

Qualification:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Ten (10) or more years of applicable work experience in an industrial facility, with responsibilities in key leadership functions such as supervising, planning, scheduling, or engineering, preferably in a petrochemical, power, or utility facility.
