Overview

We are a fast-paced e-commerce healthcare technology company seeking an experienced Medical Writer to join our dynamic team at our Miami Beach, Florida office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality content, including blogs, website copy, articles, and other digital assets related to healthcare topics. The Medical Writer will play a crucial role in developing content strategies and maintaining accurate, relevant, and up-to-date content. Ability to wear many hats in a start-up environment is key. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Research, write, and edit medical content for blogs, website copy, social media posts, newsletters, and other digital properties.

Gather and incorporate information and insights on healthcare topics, treatments, and trends.

Develop content strategies to engage and educate our target audience effectively.

Ensure all content is accurate, evidence-based, and compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Stay updated on industry trends, medical advancements, and best practices to inform content creation and strategy.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall brand messaging and goals.

Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Assist in managing editorial calendars, content schedules, and publishing workflows.

Contribute creative ideas for enhancing user engagement and improving content quality.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Science, Life Sciences, or a healthcare related field. A background in English, journalism, communications is preferred.

Proven experience as a medical writer or content creator in the healthcare industry.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong understanding of medical terminology, concepts, and research methods.

Familiarity with SEO principles and tools (e.g., keyword research, on-page optimization, link building) is a plus.

Ability to translate complex medical information into clear, engaging, and accessible content for a diverse audience.

Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
