Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Title: BI Analyst

Department: Internet Product Team (Wifi / Wireless / Telecommunications Industry)

Job Duration: contract through December with expected extension

Location: Denver CO = 3days in office /2 days Remote

Must Have Skills:

3+ years of Data Analytics experience using:

SQL

Microsoft Excel

Tableau - important, visualization

Also open to PowerBI experience alternatively

Soft Skills

Go getter & proactive attitude, very team collaborative focused

Able and willing to think outside the box

i.e. doesn’t just want somebody that can complete tasks assigned to them

i.e. A lot of the time in this role, they're looking at data and seeing things before anybody else. So if a certain piece of data stands out to them (outside of their requested task), the expectation is that they will report the problem and let their team know immediately, calling out anomalies or issues in the data when they see them, etc.

Strong attention to detail

Making sure any data, insights, finding, reports coming out of this team has been thoroughly vetted, as a lot of their data reporting will go to the leadership level and can't be taken back once provided

AWS experience with:

Athena - nice to have

S3 - nice to have

These are some of the primary databases they use besides SQL

Nice to Have Skills:

Telecom experience

Hi-split knowledge - as they will be focused on that majority of time

Any sort of cable knowledge or experience would be ideal

Internet modem wifi experience

Python experience

R coding experience

Reason for Need/What you will do/Project Details:

Providing in the weeds Data Analytics & reporting dedicated almost entirely towards the clients Hi-Split Initiative

Not only high split but using them to go thru a lot of the adhoc requests they get every day - team gets roughly 30 - 50 requests per month, some simple some complex

Running interference for them and taking them on

Focus more on day 2day (I need number of how many subscribers this has)

Every day data requests

Will be on autopilot responding to adhoc requests so the team can focus on others, his team members would validate what they would send out before sending it
