Job Summary: As a Senior Tax Manager at a Global Company, you will spearhead our global tax strategy and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Reporting directly to C-Suite Executives, you will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimize our tax position and mitigate risks. This role demands a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of international tax principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, ASC 740 requirements, and other filings across multiple jurisdictions.

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Coordinate with external tax advisors to address complex tax issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.

Tax Planning and Strategy:

Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position while minimizing liabilities and risks.

Assess the tax implications of business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.

Monitor legislative developments and industry trends to anticipate changes in tax law and proactively adjust the company's tax strategy.

Risk Management and Audit Support:

Identify and assess tax risks associated with business operations, transactions, and regulatory changes, implementing controls to mitigate potential exposures.

Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and external auditors during tax audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and support.

Develop and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field; Master's degree or CPA/CA certification preferred.

5+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance, planning, and consulting, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.

In-depth knowledge of domestic and international tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.

Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking ability, with the capacity to assess complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) preferred.
