Electrical Engineer

Columbus Area

Serving as municipal engineer to 60 communities, we specialize in a wide range of areas including civil engineering, transportation, architecture, and water management. Based in Mentor, OH, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and fostering long-term client relationships.

POSITION IS OPEN TO REMOTE WORK. The candidate needs to be able to commute to Columbus on occasion.

Relocation Consideration Available: Relocation compensation will be provided

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience required

Professional Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license mandatory

Salary Range: $100K- $135K, plus year-end bonus

Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the VP of the US Central Market

Interview Process: 2 total interviews (1) Virtual interview (2) Onsite interview

Key Competencies and Requirements:

Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, focusing on both low and high voltage systems

Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting electrical construction drawings

Experience with bid document preparation for various projects including New Buildings, Renovations, Pump Stations, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Roadway Lighting

Ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical, Structural, and Process Engineering

Skilled in site visits for investigating and recording existing conditions

Capacity to analyze existing and proposed electrical loads, sizing electrical services, feeders, and branch circuits

Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach

Self-starter with strong self-motivation and the ability to drive projects forward independently

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset towards implementing innovative ideas and procedures
