Compensation: $50.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance. Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $ 127,000.00

Data Engineer Requirements

Must have experience in MongoDB

Must have experience in PowerBI as a Data Engineer (not using PowerBI desktop)

Must have experience onboarding and integrating MongoDB into PowerBI programmatically (not using PowerBI desktop)

Python/Scripting experience to automate data loads

Data Engineer Job Description

Our client’s Cyber Security Engineering team is looking for assistance in building out an internal application, heavily reliant on MongoDB with a dynamic presentation layer based in PowerBI. PowerBI is proving to be the front-end of choice for the client, and we would like to promote that initiative to maintain a consistent experience.

Ultimately, we would like a dynamic dashboard to be built that allows users to query data points and return various panels of metadata surrounding the applicable assets.

Trend analysis / charting is generally not in scope, this is more or less a front-end for an inventory management system of both assets and vulnerabilities.

Data Engineer Responsibilities

Onboarding data from MongoDB into PowerBI and systematically/programmatically refreshing that data

Building an intuitive user interface for our vulnerability and asset repository

Coordinating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure design goals are met and acceptable

Integrating Active Directory groups into asset roles

Building a scalable, sustainable, environment

Documentation and training of the components

Operating within our SLC guidelines

The following data quality skills will be required for this role include a minimum of 2 years of experience with the following:

Informatica IDQ Suite

Data profiling

Data discovery

Information chain analysis and management

Root cause analysis
