Previous Financial Services Paralegal Experience REQUIRED (Corporate Transactions, Licensing, or Governance)
MUST have 5+ years of relevant Paralegal experience.
MUST have prior experience at a LARGE law firm - supporting multiple attorneys.
Compensation: $90k-$100k a year + firms annual holiday bonus (depending on firms success that year)

Flex Schedule (In office 3 days a week, work from home 2 days a week – Flex schedule available after 45-60 days with Firm)

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of e-Discovery and Paralegal Services and taking direction from the Office Administrator, the Paralegal – Financial Services will work directly with Attorneys in the Washington, DC Financial Services Practice Group on "corporate transactions, licensing, and governance". This position is a senior level position and is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain substantive experience at a top-ranked law firm.

Position Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys to research and follow state regulatory rules
Manage hard copy and electronic client documents
Assist attorneys with filings and memos requesting client information to complete
Order and review public records searches, including internet searches and corporate filings
Review, edit and assist with licensing requirements and financial forms
Perform administrative duties, such as calendaring filing deadlines
Perform basic legal research on Westlaw and Lexis
Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
MUST have Bachelor Degree with ABA paralegal certification OR Associate/Bachelor degree in Paralegal studies
MINIMUM 5+ years paralegal experience REQUIRED
Financial Services Paralegal experience REQUIRED (corporate transactions, licensing, and governance)
MUST have prior experience at a LARGE law firm - supporting multiple attorneys.
Experience with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) is a PLUS. (Training will be provided)
Trial experience a PLUS
Preferred System knowledge (Good to have, but not required): TrialDirector, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Relativity
Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices
Experienced in all areas of paralegal duties
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
Willingness to work overtime if needed
