Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing solid financial support to management. The Financial Analyst has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of CBTS financial plans and business decisions. The Financial Analyst is expected to ensure the organization has the tools and knowledge necessary to make sound financial and business decisions.

Essential Functions

Monthly financial reporting and analyze performance

Analyze the profitability of the business unit

Assist in the development and maintenance of key metrics for the business unit

Perform modeling and financial analysis relating to pricing, product development, promotion, productivity, capacity, and return on capital investments

Understand the financial aspects of the business and be able to highlight strengths and weaknesses

Work with the business unit to drive cost reductions and process improvement

Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for revenues, expense, and capital

Analyze key drivers of revenues and costs to implement actionable measures

Assist in month-end closing

Ad hoc analysis as needed

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience

Experienced with a range of financial analyses and modeling including discounted cash flow, lease versus buy, cost/benefit, valuation, and sensitivity analyses

Experience analyzing monthly financial results and performing in-depth financial analysis

Experience establishing financial controls and establishing financial strategies to build EVA

Experience working with management to set and achieve goals and assist in the development and input of assumptions for forecasts and budgets

Experience developing and presenting performance reports to management enabling them to leverage and maximize financial results

MBA from a top school or 4-6 years related experience

Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning, and strategic development

History of managing financial projects complex in scope

Education

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Detail-oriented

Proficient with PC's for analysis and modeling

Creative thinking, economic, and analytical skills

Results-oriented

Ability to conduct product and market performance analyses and identify and recommend actions as needed

Ability to make recommendations including expense controls, asset management, and pricing and product management

Undergraduate degree required in Finance, Accounting or Economics
