Job Description
The Bridge Tender operates movable bridges over navigable waterways by local, state, and federal regulations. As Bridge Tender, you will act rationally and calmly in abnormal circumstances and notifies local authorities, repair technicians, supervisors, and our client as required to ensure proper and safe bridge operations.

Provide safe, courteous openings for marine traffic.
Provide a safe passage for vehicle traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Follow all safety protocols.
Inform the supervisor immediately of all incidents, malfunctions, and accidents.
Ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.

The ability to read and comprehend FDOT and U.S. Coast Guard manuals, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Check supply inventory and report deficiencies to the supervisor.
Call for traffic control and emergency services as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Compile and review EOM (end-of-month) materials for the supervisor.
Build rapport with delivery vendors.
Assist other departments as needed.
