Robert Half has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. How you will make an impact
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Manage full-cycle A/P
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Numeric data entry experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proficiency in Check Runs
- Bank reconciliations experience preferred
