Pay Range: $25.25 - $41.05 / hour

Job Description:

Under general supervision, to provide surgical nursing care to CVOR patients based on the surgical procedures in assigned specialties. To demonstrate proficiency in assigned surgical specialty and/or complex cases. To prepare and maintain the surgical environment, medical instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures. To follow strict aseptic techniques in maintaining a sterile field while assisting the surgical team and ensuring a smooth flow of surgical procedure. To escalate to RN any potential issues related to patient care. To effectively respond to emergency situations, demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, meet interpersonal team's needs and serve as a role model to other members of the patient care team. Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
