Warehouse Attendant

Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department at Thistledown Racino.

Essential Functions

Receives shipments on Receiving Dock; coordinates work flow to ensure timely delivery of supplies to all departments of Thistledown Racino.

Communicates receiving discrepancies to the Purchasing department.

Performs data entry function to receive all PO deliveries into the Stratton Warren IP system.

Receives mail packages, and logs and delivers them on a timely basis.

Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.

Ensures that all shipments are received in good, undamaged condition and of the proper quality.

Loads and unloads trucks, using fork lifts and electric pallet jacks.

Maintains inventory storerooms; places orders, rotates stock on a FIFO basis, fills requisitions, cleans.

Adjusts pars according to business levels and usage history.

Assists in conducting monthly physical inventories.

Ensures all materials handling equipment is properly maintained and daily inspection logs completed.

Other duties as assigned.

Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients.

Prepares project plans that aid in moving project forward.

Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.

Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.

Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.

Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to lift fifty pounds on a continual basis.

Successful candidate should be able to safely operate powered materials handling equipment. If not already certified to operate forklifts, would need to become certified within 30 days. Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in warehouse operation. Required Certification/License

Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission Gaming License
