Responsibilities:
⢠Lead and manage the finance and accounts team, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to accounting standards, and a focus on efficient receivables management.
⢠Develop and implement robust financial systems and processes, specifically for receivables, to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and timely collections.
⢠Oversee the entire receivables function, including credit control, collections, bad debt management, and ensuring timely customer payments.
⢠Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective credit policies and collection strategies.
⢠Analyze customer creditworthiness and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize bad debt.
⢠Manage the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
⢠Develop and manage financial budgets and forecasts, providing regular variance analysis and insights to senior management, with a focus on receivables performance.
⢠Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
⢠Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks, particularly related to receivables.
⢠Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
⢠Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, sales, marketing) to provide financial guidance and support business decision-making.
⢠Stay updated on relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in receivables management.
⢠Ensure effective utilization of SAP within the finance function, particularly for receivables management.
⢠Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the finance function, including within receivables processes.
⢠Manage working capital to ensure optimal cash flow.
Skills and Qualifications:
⢠7-8 years of experience in a senior finance role within the manufacturing sector, preferably FMCG.
⢠Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing receivables functions.
⢠In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and receivables management best practices.
⢠Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
⢠Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
⢠Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and lead a team.
⢠Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
⢠Expertise in SAP, particularly for financial and receivables modules.
⢠Strong understanding of costing principles and inventory management.
⢠Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Education:
⢠CA + MBA Finance or CA + ICWA qualification is highly desirable.
