Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior FEA Engineer of the MEIC, you will collaborate with the Product Development & engineering teams globally. You will be working as a part of a team to design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.

Senior FEA Engineer should have very good knowledge on product development process.

Should to be capable of working as an individual contributor to deliver on specific work packages while working with the departmental FEA team for collective knowledge sharing and development.

Should have good working knowledge of Modeling & Simulation sofware such as ANSYS, Hypermesh etc.

Should have a good understanding of CAD Modeling & Detailing Standards ( as per ASME)

Should have a good understanding of prototype development and testing standards ( as per ASTM)

Should have good experience and strong knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites) along manufacturing process knowledge.

The candidate shall be able to use computational modelling to provide technical understanding for concept down select, design optimisation and design failure analyses.

The candidate shall be responsible for recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems based on computational data. Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.

Strong interpersonal and team management skills.

The candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.

Must-Have :

Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within Finite Element Analysis typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Requires a university degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree (PhD) with 3 years of experience.

Hands on experience with Modeling & Simulation tools such as ANSYS, Hypermesh, NASTRAN etc.

Very good verbal communications to interact with global partners .

Nice to Have :

Medical Device Experience

Master Degree or PHD.
