Roles and Responsibilities
Conceptualizes and generates 2D and 3D designs
Works with the product development team in preparing CAD drawings
Prepares design materials for project presentation
Communicates with all project personnel for client requirements and project progress
Develops and improves the design of existing packaging components
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate details
Build relationships with key stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers, clients, etc.)
Designing new injection molds and making adjustments according to possible issues that may arise during simulations / prototyping.
Performs mold audit and conducts proper maintenance on existing injection molds. Designs and fabricates mold parts as needed.
Coordinates with the CNC operator for machining, measuring, checking, and fitting of the fabricated parts.
Assists in the assembly of fabricated parts to ensure that mold is efficient for production and free from problems.
Occasionally renders overtime and holiday work when necessary.
Qualifications
Candidate must be a graduate of machine shop technology or its equivalent experience
With at least 3 years experience in plastic mold design is required.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with 3D/2D Designs
Understanding of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat),
Knowledgeable in various softwares Solidworks, Revit, and/or AutoCAD
Experience in 3D Scanner Geomagic is a plus
Can effectively communicate with machine operators and engineers
Is able to analyze and work independently
With good skills in mold designing
Knowledgeable in Moldflow is a plus
