Description:

o Identifies, analyzes and evaluates job specific hazards for single task as well as assessing each step of the job.

o Evaluates risks including likelihood, nature of consequences and impact/severity of job hazards as well as document the findings.

o Determines appropriate control measures from elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative and installation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

o Reviews and updates JHA and Risk Assessment on a yearly basis or as the need arise.

o Conducts regular safety inspection or walk through (including observation of unsafe acts and conditions) in all identified Company premises such as but not limited to Corporate Office, Warehouses, Motor Pool, Laboratories and others.

o Conducts regular inspection of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, signages, fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lights, exits, aisles and others.

o Prepares Safety Inspection Reports and issues Safety Violation Tickets for cited violations.

o Ensures that all employees are wearing the required PPEs in designated areas.

o onitors and ensures that all safety-related incidents/accidents, non-conformances and non-implementation of procedures are minimized and controlled.

o Spearheads the planning, implementation and evaluation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs including the trained EPR team, regular meetings and scheduled emergency drills.

o Conducts emergency evaluation, fire, earthquake and spill drills based on the approved SHE Annual Plan including preparation of report/documentation of particular drill.

o Attends to the requirements of the establishment or agency prior to the construction or installation of pollution control facilities including the application and securing of necessary pollution permits and renewal.

o Monitors activities pertaining the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, noise and water quality standards.

o Oversees any violations of P.D. 984 and its implementing rules and regulations committed by the establishment where the office is located/employed.

o Supervises the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities of the establishment or agency.

o Reports within reasonable time to the Authority the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated and actual date of completion/repair and operation

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Graduate of any Engineering course preferably with License, Accredited Safety Practitioner, with BOSH/COSH, LCM, TOT training

· At least five (5) years of extensive work experience as Safety Officer in a food manufacturing or trading/retail industry with updated trainings and seminars on QMS, Food Safety, GMP and among others is a plus

Expected salary: 27,000 - 32,000 per month
