The Village of Mundelein is seeking motivated individuals to join our Public Works and Engineering Department as a Summer Seasonal Employee. The position will be from May through August with work hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Work is performed in outdoor weather conditions and near vehicular traffic.

The individuals in these positions perform duties which are normally assigned to regular maintenance workers in the off-season. This includes day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of Village properties, roadways, facilities, and other duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties:

• Landscape maintenance

• Utility locating

• Painting

• Debris removal

• Moving equipment and/or furniture

• Cleaning of Village vehicles and equipment

• Daily equipment inspections

• Basic construction tasks

• Water system maintenance

• Sewer cleaningRequirements:

• Must be at least 17 years of age or older.

• Mechanical aptitude and/or related training preferred.

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

• Must possess and maintain a valid IL Driver's License with a good driving record.

• Must be able to stand, stand, walk, kneel, sit, or lift and/or move up to 75lbs.

• Must be able to perform work in all types of weather conditions.
