What We Are Looking For:

As an Application Support Analyst at Aspida, you will be a key player across our technology ecosystem, tackling complex problems and ensuring the seamless functionality of our digital platform. We're seeking a motivated and tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about problem-solving. This role reports to the Senior Business Solutions Architect and is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.

What You Will Do:

Troubleshoot issues reported from software systems from internal and external users, work closely with technical and business teams to effectively resolve issues.

Provide valuable feedback and insights to continuously improve platform reliability, functionality, and overall performance.

Lead root cause analysis, provide solutions and workarounds to ensure the highest level of reliability for critical applications.

Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up, and communication of problems to internal and external users, technical resources, and senior management.

Partner with Product Development teams in the planning, prioritization, and execution of production releases to minimize future defects, raising issues and proposing technical solutions to solve business problems.

Proactively research, suggest improvements and efficiencies to the software platform where necessary.

Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, end-user training and production monitoring.

Obtain knowledge and understanding of current applications and their functionalities, data flow, connections, services, etc.

Focus on preventative maintenance to improve application uptime and proactively reduce production disruptions.

May evolve as a subject matter expert to lead specific projects or various technical initiatives.

While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies.

Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and stakeholders.

What We Require:

3 or more years of experience in developing or supporting highly available, publicly facing products.

2 or more years of experience leading resolution of issues across multiple software applications, preferably within financial services or insurance industry.

Experience with leveraging application logs (AWS CloudWatch, Kibana, etc) to monitor and troubleshoot issues.

Bachelor's degree in an IT or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Ability to work proactively with client facing business, internal operations, and software engineering teams. Develop meaningful relationships in order to achieve common goals.

Understanding of relational databases, proficient in SQL.

Experience with API testing using Postman (or other API testing tools) for debugging purposes.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking and technical troubleshooting expertise.

Experience with ITSM Platforms like JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, etc.

Great problem-solving skills, excels at resolving problems encountered by users, whether these require only quick fixes or major collaborative efforts across various departments.

Ability to work under limited direction and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Great verbal, written communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Good understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ability to work in an Agile environment and function with various business and IT stakeholders.
