Plant Controller

Overview:

Location: Onsite - Hampton, VA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Plant Controller. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment, prior supervisory experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. This position will be responsible for driving compliance, optimizing profitability, and free cash flow.

Responsibilities:

Partner with plant leadership to work on targeted goals to increase performance measures around quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability

Accurately forecast, analyze, and plan business results

Analyze data and track performance progress

Coordinate the capital approbation process and post-project reviews

Ensure SOX requirements are met for internal controls

Supervise a finance team

Drive year over year cost reduction initiatives

Review financial statements and account reconciliations

Effectively communicate location results against forecasts, plan, and performance objectives

Assure accurate, current, and complete information for government contracts

Accountable for all location financial statements

Qualifications:

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA, CMA or MBA preferred

Experience Required

5+ years of related financial/controllership work experience in a manufacturing environment

Supervisory experience

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Strong analytical and decision making skills

Experience using queries, including Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle, or similar systems

Strong cost accounting skills including multi level routing and bill of materials cost accounting experience

Excellent communication skills
