SUMMARY:

The Clinical Manager will supervise and direct the clinical staff in the provision of counseling and/or related functions. This position is responsible for providing training, supervision, and mentoring to maximize counselor performance and improve time management skills of the staff. The Site Manager must have knowledge of current clinical best practices in addiction treatment and demonstrated ability to put this knowledge into practical application.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee clinical reviews to monitor patient progress.

Prepare and maintain counselor work schedules to provide adequate coverage seven days a week that complies with regulatory requirements. Conduct performance appraisals and participate in hiring and termination recommendations.

Provide individual and group supervision in accordance with counselor credentialing requirements and internal policy.

Participate in program planning, development and other management functions.

Perform direct counseling services in accordance with awarded privileges.

Provide counseling services in accordance with productivity expectations, including but not limited to, individual counseling, group counseling, and weekly integration.

After-hours coverage of the outpatient department in an on-call rotation with other Site Managers.

Interact with the administrative, utilization review, admissions, and other clinical disciplines to ensure the efficient coordination and timely delivery of treatment services.

Provide the oversight and training necessary to achieve optimal clinical performance.

Ability to incorporate regulatory standards into clinical practice to ensure compliance.

Must be able to work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines to advance quality of patient care and achieve program performance goals.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline and at least two years of clinical experience in an Addiction or Mental Health Treatment program.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in an Addiction or Mental Health Treatment program. Experience in conducting utilization review.

Skills: Must have supervisory and interpersonal skills to manage and supervise a diverse clinical staff.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Independent License, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT required.
