Job Title: On-Site Unarmed Security Officer

Job Description: An on-site unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the premises they are assigned to protect. They play a crucial role in deterring criminal activity, enforcing rules and regulations, and providing assistance and guidance to visitors and employees. This position typically requires individuals who are physically fit, possess strong observational skills, and can remain calm and composed in potentially stressful situations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Patrolling: Regularly patrol the assigned area on foot to ensure security and safety. Keep a vigilant eye on suspicious activities, unauthorized persons, or any potential security breaches.

Access Control: Control access to the premises by checking identification, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and electronic access control systems.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, evacuate the premises if necessary, and liaise with emergency services.

Customer Service: Provide assistance and information to visitors, employees, and clients. Offer directions, answer inquiries, and address concerns in a polite and professional manner.

Report Writing: Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift. Write clear and concise reports documenting any security-related incidents, accidents, or policy violations.

Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts or disputes among individuals calmly and diplomatically. Use verbal de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and enforce rules without resorting to physical force unless absolutely necessary.

Collaboration: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, property management, or other security personnel as needed. Communicate effectively via radio or other communication devices to ensure smooth operations and swift responses.

Security Procedures: Enforce security policies, procedures, and regulations established by the employer or client. Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, gates, fences, and other physical barriers to ensure they are in good working order.

Training and Development: Stay updated on relevant security protocols, laws, and regulations through ongoing training sessions. Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to security practices, emergency response techniques, and first aid procedures
