Medical Device- Field Service Technician

ROLE SUMMARY

The Medical Device Field Service Technician is a field-based position responsible for on-site service, repair, or troubleshooting of Retinal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopes (SLOs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and retrofit instrument products.

Support customers on the operational aspects of the instrument, equipment, and software.

Complete and submit all Regulatory and company required documentation.

Provide remote diagnosis/repair support when needed.

Become proficient in UltraWidefield Retinal Imaging with skillsets in OCT and Fiber Optic technology.

Maintain inventory accountability for all parts, tools, and calibrated equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education gained through work experiences.

Previous field service engineer experience in the medical device industry.

Self-motivated individual with strong desire to exceed personal and company goals.

Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities.

Ability to manage expenses, travel arrangements and customer management

PC, server, and network integration experience.

Skilled in instrument operation, maintenance, and repair procedures.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent Customer Service skills

Computer skills (MS Office applications), basic networking knowledge & ability to perform virtual communication tasks.

Be able to lift/carry 60 lbs.

Ability to travel overnight – up to 80% (some weekend travel).

Clean and safe driving record

Salary: $50,000/yr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-6pm

Some overtime might occasionally be required.
