Laboratory Director

Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a well-established high-complexity CLIA licensed laboratory who is seeking a Laboratory Director to oversee their Columbus, OH location. The ideal candidate will have experience in or the willingness to learn Microbiology, Serology, Virology and Newborn Screening testing.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and administration of a high-complexity Laboratory, including financial performance and provision of timely, reliable, and clinically relevant test results in compliance with applicable regulations and accreditation requirements (CAP, CLIA, State and Federal Laws)

Participate in all relevant managerial decisions and guide the operations of the laboratory ranging from the selection of staff, choice of methods, purchase of equipment, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, safety, etc.

Ensure all QC and SOPs are routinely evaluated, developed are up-to-date

Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team

Education and Certification Requirements:

The qualified candidate will possess a doctoral degree (PhD/MD/DO) and one of the HHS-approved board certifications to qualify as a CLIA high-complexity laboratory director.

In addition to the above noted required qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of writing and understanding grants as well as understanding federally funded programs.

Salary:

Base salary dependent on experience
