iConn Technologies is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Incoming Shipments:
Receive incoming shipments, including containers, consignments, Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), and samples.
Inspect packaging conditions of received goods, and repackage, relabel, rewrap and/or re-pallet if needed.
Consignment Management:
Create Transfer Orders (TO) for consignment shipments.
Package consignments and repack any damaged final goods packaging as necessary.
Shipping Operations:
Coordinate deliveries for reworked or returned items.
Process labels and Bills of Lading (BOL) for in house shipments.
Schedule pick-ups for outgoing shipments.
Coordinate freight deliveries with carriers such as FedEx Trade.
Ensure shipping of consignment components and Sales Orders (SO) on schedule.
Conduct safety procedures for outbound shipment (makes sure package is safe to ship)
Inventory Management:
Conduct weekly inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
Generate and analyze Open Order reports for on-hand and in-transit inventory.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Maintain an organized warehouse environment by breaking down boxes, sweeping, and disposing of trash.
Perform regular forklift checks as per safety protocols.
Perform forklift maintenance such as checking water levels and charging.
Ensure that the warehouse doors are timely open and closed.
Additional Tasks:
Follow up with carriers for delivery status (incoming and outgoing).
Order necessary supplies for warehouse operations.
Create manual packing lists for international shipments.
Maintain an organized shipment list for tracking purposes.
Organize files both manually and electronically (scan into NetSuite).
File claims with carriers when necessary.
Qualification:
1 - 2 years Experience
High school diploma and some college education
Forklift License
Valid Driver License
ERP Experience: NetSuite, SAP
FedEx and UPS Shipping System
MSO365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with inventory software, and able to upload data into the company system
Able to work independently
Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory
Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
