Job Description:

BryceTech, a small business government contractor located in Alexandria, Virginia is actively seeking an exceptional Senior Vice President of Operations. BryceTech is at the forefront of substantial growth and strategic evolution and is searching for the right leader to help with our transformation. In partnership and under the guidance of our visionary CEO, this SVP will bring tactical and operational depth to the team. This role demands a leader who excels in managing complex operational challenges, is proficient in navigating conflicts with a collaborative spirit, and can preserve and nurture our company’s positive culture using expert change-management skills as the organization transforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the government contracting industry, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: The SVP is responsible for overseeing the operations of all contracts and billable staff. This involves ensuring that all divisions are functioning efficiently and effectively towards achieving the company's goals.

Strategic and Business Planning: The SVP plays a key role in strategic planning, working closely with the CEO and other executives to develop and implement company strategies to drive growth, improve performance, and achieve the company's objectives. The SVP is also responsible for overseeing the transformation of company-level strategies, goals, objectives, and metrics into actionable business plans.

Resource Allocation: The SVP is responsible for allocating resources such as budget, personnel, and technology to different divisions and projects, ensuring that resources are used effectively to maximize productivity and profitability.

Process Improvement: BryceTech’s SVP will focus on optimizing processes and workflows across the organization to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. This involves identifying bottlenecks, implementing new systems or technologies, and streamlining operations.

Performance Monitoring: Working with BryceTech’s Quality Manager and CTO, the SVP will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the company's performance and identify areas for improvement. They’ll also develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to address any issues or gaps.

Team Leadership: The SVP will lead and manage a team of directors and managers across various divisions that support BryceTech’s customers. Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure that divisions and teams are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Risk Management: SVP is responsible for identifying and mitigating operational risks that could impact the company's performance or reputation. This may involve implementing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing contingency plans.

Communication: SVP serves as a bridge between different divisions and senior management, facilitating communication and collaboration across the organization. BryceTech’s SVP represents the company to external stakeholders such as customers, teammates, and potential industry partners.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field; Masters Degree and/or MBA, preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles, with a focus on government contracting and technology.

Proven track record of driving business growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Strong understanding of government contracting regulations, processes, and customer needs.

Excellent manager able to build and manage a diverse group of senior business leaders.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.

Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver high-quality results.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Thorough understanding of government contracting regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as commercial consulting best practices.

Experience managing complex projects and budgets, with a keen focus on financial performance and risk management.

Proficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
