Job Overview:

Seeking a creative and analytical Tableau UX Designer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will specialize in designing intuitive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards that provide insightful data visualization solutions to meet our business needs. You will play a key role in understanding user experiences and translating them into impactful data visualizations that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement innovative Tableau dashboards that deliver a seamless user experience.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards to demonstrate design concepts.

Optimize the interactivity of Tableau dashboards through thoughtful design to enhance user engagement and understanding.

Maintain consistency in visual elements and defining behavior such as how to display error or warning states.

Develop and maintain documentation regarding style guidelines, design standards, and best practices.

Educate and guide stakeholders on the utilization and interpretation of dashboards.

Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and Tableau development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio of design projects involving data visualization.

Advanced proficiency in Tableau and understanding of Tableau’s capabilities and limitations.

Familiarity with Tableau Server and publishing interactive dashboards.

Experience with UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.

Knowledge of SQL and experience with database technologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
