Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design and Develop proof-of-concept models

Turn concepts into physical prototypes

Working with a variety of manufacturing techniques such as machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.

Working with CAD

Perform basic Analysis

Recommend appropriate materials and components.

Track changes in the PDM system.

Test prototoypes and help Troubleshoot design problems encountered during production.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Good CAD design knowledge (Solidworks preferred)

Ability to build prototypes in the workshop

Ability to test and troubleshoot prototypes

Analytical skills are a benefit (FEA, Thermal, CFD, etc)
