Energy Engineer

Mechanical or Energy Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience producing building simulation models for a new Energy Department within an MEP Consulting Firm. Applicant must be experienced in EQuest, Energy Plus, or Design Builder software. Applicant will provide analysis, consulting, and verification services to help clients determine and achieve target levels of energy efficiency and sustainability for building projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Position Qualifications (Required)

Associate degree or equivalent technical training/certification

Fundamental knowledge of mechanical system design

Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes

Fundamental knowledge of mechanical concepts

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

High degree of analytical skill and ability

Position Qualifications (Preferred)

2+ years of work experience in energy modeling and energy saving calculations

LEED AP

Fundamental knowledge of building system operation

High degree of analytical skill and ability

Self starter and ability to work with a minimum of supervision

Knowledge of LEED Documentation

Strong time management skills and ability to multitask

Knowledge of utility incentive application process is a plus

CEM and/or BEMP desired but are not required.
