JOB TITLE: Associate Director of Donor Relations

DEPARTMENT: Resource Development

STATUS: Full-time, exempt

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Partnerships

YOUR POSITION AT BGCGW

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is seeking an Associate Director of Donor Relations. You will be an essential driver in our ALL IN, $30 million comprehensive campaign’s public phase. You will oversee campaign stewardship operations including all events, develop campaign strategies and manage volunteer outreach and track and report on donor data. You will also execute annual stewardship activities, including corporate partner deliverables. You work collaboratively with all members of the Resource Development department.

YOUR ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

ALL IN Campaign

· Develop and lead the strategy ALL IN Campaign stewardship plan.

o Execute ALL IN Campaign stewardship activities, from naming recognition ceremonies to grassroots donor touch points.

o Provide leadership, professional expertise and direction in the planning and execution of campaign events; manage logistics, design invitations and facilitate outreach for all campaign related activities.

· Prepare event and meeting briefings, including talking points for board members and key leadership.

· Support tailored cultivation and solicitation proposals for ALL IN Campaign prospects.

· Maintain campaign opportunities in Raiser’s Edge; coordinate campaign reports with Director, Database Administration.

Annual Donor Relations

· Contribute to comprehensive stewardship plan, working closely with the Director, Special Events and Donor Relations.

· Increase and elevate corporate partner engagements by overseeing onsite partner activations.

· Lead execution of corporate partner deliverables; manage employee engagement events.

· Support corporate donor relations needs for signature events as applicable.

· Create stewardship reports and recognition materials.

· Manage stewardship activities associated with Metro and Regional Boards and key volunteers.

· As Campaign closes, responsibilities will shift to stewarding new initiatives for and meaningful connections and correspondence with individuals (major donors, major donor prospects and grassroots donors).

· Record campaign, corporate and individual stewardship activities in Raiser’s Edge; track and manage digital corporate partner benefit requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

YOU’LL NEED TO BRING

· Sincere commitment to the mission of BGCGW – must adhere to the highest ethical standards, demonstrate an empathetic disposition and perseverance, and convey sensitivity to the needs of donors, staff and volunteers.

· Four-year degree from an accredited college or university.

· Four to six years of related experience including at least two years of event planning; campaign experience a plus.

· Donor-centric: must be customer-centered and enjoy customer service.

· Superior attention to detail, accuracy, coordination and follow through.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write comprehensive and compelling copy for a range of resource development needs.

· Demonstrate ability to handle a huge volume with moving parts while keeping calm under pressure.

· Team-focused, must enjoy and be successful at leading teams and able to roll up one’s sleeves and make things happen as an individual.

· Knowledge and evidence of the importance of emotional intelligence in both personal and professional success.

· Present a high degree of sophistication, self-confidence, self-motivation and flexibility.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

· A “can do” approach; evening and weekend work to be anticipated and occasionally expected.

· Must have strong home internet connection (work laptop and cell phone will be provided).

· This position is hybrid: must be able to work at BGCGW Shared Services, 4103 Benning Road, NE, Washington, DC, during normal operations as well as work remotely.
