Internship / Co-Op, AI Research Team

About the role:

Gatik is seeking several passionate and skilled interns to join our AI Research group for an internship focused on core autonomy modules – Perception, Behavior Prediction, Planning, and Controls.

What you'll do:

Conduct research to conceptualize, design, and/or implement innovative solutions for autonomous driving including but not limited to applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, and probabilistic robotics.

Collaborate closely with experienced mentors within the team to drive research projects forward.

Engage with product groups to facilitate the transfer of cutting-edge technology into practical applications.

Participate in drafting scientific articles and/or patent applications.

What we're looking for:

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in AV/Robotics-related field.

Proficiency in both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of artificial intelligence techniques for AVs.

Good programming skills, particularly in rapid prototyping environments, such as Python, and MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with C++ and/or parallel programming (e.g., CUDA) is advantageous.

Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch and tensorflow.

Demonstrated research aptitude with a promising track record of contributions.

Related publication in top-tier journals and/or conferences (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, CORL, NeurIPS, ICRA, IROS, CDC, etc.)

Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas effectively and collaborate within a dynamic team environment.
