Maintenance Trades Helper

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Helper

Assist in performing general maintenance work to avoid possible failures and malfunctions.

Assist Site Superintendent in developing, completing, and reviewing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Complete daily work assignments and wok orders as directed.

Assist in performing installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.

Handle emergency maintenance and repair work. Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical.

Be available on call 24/7 for after-hours emergencies.

Work with Site Superintendent to perform filter changes, grease fittings, change belts on mechanical equipment as per manufacturer recommendations.

Work on preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.

Stock maintenance, janitorial materials, and equipment, and supplies.

Perform daily maintenance activities as directed.

Maintain work areas, mechanical rooms, and loading docks in a clean, safe and organized manner.

Operate maintenance equipment safely to avoid accidents.

Maintain the maintenance tools and equipment in safe, clean and good working conditions.

Provide assistance to Site Superintendent, client and tenants as needed.

Attend job training and safety programs as directed by management.

Adhere to company policies, safety regulations and OSHA requirements.

Perform maintenance tasks based on pictures, blueprints, written descriptions and oral instructions from Site Superintendent.

Work to assist outside contractors as directed. Painting, Toilet repairs and de-clogging, light bulb changes, clean up spills or other maintenance/cleaning tasks as directed.

Assist and perform various manual tasks as required.

Position requires - standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
