Responsibilities:

Implement current adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.

Produce, research, and edit training materials for e-learning, synchronous, and asynchronous learning modalities.

Participate in developing content and competency of specific course design elements.

Interact with SMEs and senior designers in all project phases, including analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, planning, and scoping content requirements.

Develop various learning assets, such as interactives/manipulatives, gamification, video, lectures, assessments, tests, quizzes, surveys, and evaluations.

Support team and department initiative by proactively identifying areas for improvement and seeking to enhance existing processes, providing innovative training ideas, and delivering results.

Ensure courses/assets are organized in a DMA and adhere to the company, L&D, industry development, and best practice standards.

Build, maintain, edit, and proofread QA documentation/content for functional specifications and testing scripts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Create guides, job aids, facilitator and participant guides, self-paced e-learning, and blended that demonstrate creativity, efficiency, innovation, educational scaffolding, and retention/retrieval practices.

Research best practices internally and externally and apply critical findings to achieve objectives.

Work to maintain consistency in the Learning Management System.

Continue to evaluate and contribute to L&D and design processes, style guides, and asset organization.

Leverage and troubleshoot 3rd party vendor content within development testing and different platforms.

Create consistent templates for Articulate 360 Suite Storyline.

Participate in QA and UX industry standards.

Design appropriate interactivity for training, delivery methods, and technologies.

Interface professionally with all company employees and outside vendors.

Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Design, Organizational Learning, Adult Education, or the education/art fields.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following areas: instructional design, formal educational or adult training (K12 – higher ed), nonprofit/profit, or B2B training.

Proficiency with course authoring tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Articulate 360.

Experience using Learning Management Systems Blackboard and Canvas.

Experience using Graphic Design software simulations, video photography/editing, animation, and illustration. Creative Cloud Suite Photoshop, XD, Premiere Pro.

Complete knowledge of adult learning principles.

Excellent communicator, writer, and independently motivated.

Creative problem solver who hits deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft 360.

Master’s degree in Instructional Design

Spanish speaking and writing

Editing experience

Ability to lead and have full ownership of a project from start to finish.

Ability to understand and support urgent requests between projects and regularly planned work.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to author and proofread MLA and APA style guidelines.

Ability to troubleshoot technology.

Ability to quickly learn new content tools and internal applications, i.e., Smartsheet.
