The Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a dedicated certified Medical Assistant that has previous medical assisting experience to join our dynamic team as an orthopedic Radiology Technologist Assistant.

The position will be accountable for the smooth flow, safe transport and preparation for all patients to procedures within the clinic. The Radiology Technologist Assistant is a member of the Radiology patient care team.

Other responsibilities of this position include:

• Assists with the preparation of patients for exams

• Utilizes and knowledgeable of proper body mechanics for patient transport

• Answers patient questions and prepares them for imaging procedures

• Ensures patients are comfortable and at ease during the imaging process

• Prepares patient and equipment for examination or procedure to facilitate efficiency

• Cleaning of imaging rooms in preparation for the next patient

• Operates and maintains equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures

• Casting, bracing, DME and other delegated medical procedures

• Communicates with other members of the health care team to coordinate patient care

• Cleans and stocks supplies in assigned areas

• Completes other appropriate duties as required including communicating with patients, staff, physician and customers in a professional manner and courteous manner

• Assists Radiologic Technologists as needed

• Must be able to work to in a fast paced environment, able to multitask and prioritize using good time management skills

• Work well independently as well as part of a team

• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and maintains compliance with governmental regulations

• Maintaining the privacy and security of protected health information and adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma

• Previous patient service experience, preferably in medical/healthcare setting

• Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products, EHR software applications, preferably Athena

• Valid Driver’s License / Clean driving record / Proof of auto insurance
