Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to do meaningful work, support an important mission, and get hands-on experience working with an iconic brand? Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), a top ten Girl Scout Council in the country, is looking for Operations Coordinator to support our Calling All Girl Bosses (CAGB) initiative.

At GSEP, staff members are committed to building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to do something amazing.

Calling All Girl Bosses is a revolutionary recruitment and program approach designed to empower older girls to achieve the highest awards in Girl Scouting while also making a positive impact on their local communities. This mission will be accomplished with the support of volunteers, neighbors, mentors, corporations in their communities, and council staff who live nearby. Leading the charge will be a dedicated core team responsible for managing operations, helping local teams, and overseeing citywide objectives.

The approach will focus on recruiting girls in grades 6-12 and volunteers, securing meeting spaces, and delivering a customized nine-month Girl Scouting curriculum. This curriculum will not only support the award process, but will also provide enriched opportunities for learning, personal growth, and fun for the girls.

**This is a full-time, temporary assignment through May 2025.

Here’s how you can help!

The Operations Coordinator, reporting directly to the Project Manager provides essential tactical support: managing supplies, site coordination, communication, and serving as the connection between council staff, corporate volunteers, girls, Highest Awards committees, and all stakeholders involved in the monthly meetings and yearlong project. They will work with GSEP staff to secure supplies, coordinate with the site to ensure availability, and other logistics like transportation needs for girls, and more.

This is the perfect opportunity for a self-motivated individual with impeccable attention to detail who wants to work in a unique environment, finds inspiration in working with the Girl Scouts’ brand, and are motivated by our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
