Job Description
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Items:
Coordinate with Traffic Coordinator to ensure cutoffs and daily shipment needs are met
Review planning reports:
Containers being pulled by carriers
Active Bookings report
Review forklift inspections
Review Mule truck inspections
Review production numbers and production reports
Verify and turn in all bonuses weekly
Weekly items:
Review rail mover inspections
Conduct supply counts and work with Supplies Manager on needed reconciliation
Count purge and scrap supply counts and work with Customer Service to have those items moved
Cycle counts every Thursday/Friday
Terminal project and priority update as required by Management
OCS audit
Bi-weekly items:
Asset report
Monthly Items:
House Keeping Audits
Daily housekeeping and cleanliness inspection of Terminal and surrounding grounds
Review of the Aged Inventory Report & coordination with appropriate CSRs to keep aged inventory levels at a minimum
Review of Terminal productivity numbers
Manage the maintenance and upkeep of all warehouse equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, stretch-wrap machines, dock plates, dock levelers, sweepers, dock bumpers…
Facilitate coordination and communication between Packaging, Warehousing, Bulk loading, Transport, and Customer Service departments
Maintain a 5-day planning horizon
Manage hours & PTO of warehouse employees
Problem-solving inter-departmental conflicts and communication issues
Provide technical expertise to functional departments where necessary
Monitor warehouse labor productivity and plan hours according to volume needs
Review and understand all procedures & safety requirements that apply to the Terminal
Audit against those procedures
Enforce the procedures
Document any and all safety incidents or near misses on the appropriate incident report and file with the Safety and HR departments
Document any and all necessary disciplinary action
Assist in terminal projects, audits, and physical inventories
Assist in training requirements as provided by the Quality and Safety departments
Assist in any other areas of need that arise

A college degree is preferred but not required.
