Pharmacist In Charge (PIC)

Job Description

We seek a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to join our team! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing all pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing.

Providing excellent customer service and medication counseling.

Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of medications.

Leading and supervising a team of pharmacy technicians.

Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records.

Collaborating with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to optimize patient care.

Implementing quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.

Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist in Texas

Prior experience working in a retail pharmacy, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.

Proficiency in pharmacy management software and other relevant technology.

Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Willingness to stay updated on developments in the field of pharmacy practice through continuing education and professional development.
