Job Description
Primary Purpose: (Ideal Candidate - someone who has worked on machines with troubleshooting issues. This position will work the stamp machine and troubleshoot machines when needed)
Responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, and understanding all process inputs and
outputs for the manufacture of a proprietary medical device. They will setup and operate state of the art
equipment, and will assist in the design and development of an effective,
efficient, and robust manufacturing process for short term and long term
production of a series of medical devices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operates
injection molding machines and auxiliary manufacturing equipment making a
proprietary medical device in a white room environment.
Oversees
and maintains injection molding processes that will achieve world-class
manufacturing standards for quality, productivity, and customer
satisfaction in a medical device market.
Analyzes,
and resolves quality and manufacturing problems by applying knowledge of
injection molding, production methods, and quality improvement techniques.
· Assist in development of automation,
and execution of validation protocols and reports.
· Assist in the training of other process
techs / operators about the use and safety of the equipment.
Assist
in the creation of work instructions as needed for daily tasks.
Assist
in the designing of fixtures needed for production / quality activities.
Operate
independently with limited oversight.
· Assist in
the creation of work instructions and process flows as needed for daily tasks.
· Excellent
written and oral communication skills are essential.

Education:
Required
High
School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred:
Skills and Experience:
Required
2 - 5
years of experience in injection molding manufacturing, or related
discipline in a scientific, engineering, or similar discipline required.
Capable
of understanding and explaining scientific molding practices with
engineering personnel to assist troubleshooting of molding processes and
equipment.
Must
be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Windows
applications.
Detail
oriented with good organization and prioritizing skills.
· Spreadsheet skills.
· Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge
of quality concepts to the completion of significant assignments.
· Ability to deal with quality issues
proactively both tactically and strategically.
· Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to work cooperatively and
collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external
parties.
Preferred
Basic
statistical or analytical techniques training preferred
5 - 10
years of experience in injection molding manufacturing, or related
discipline in a scientific, engineering, or similar discipline
preferred.
Lean
Manufacturing experience a plus (Experience with 5S, 5Ys, Kaizen,
Process Mapping)
Medical
device experience a plus
Lock-Out /
Tag-Out training and experience
