Regional Ocean Freight Head - West India

Key Deliverables:

• Responsible for West India Ocean Freight P&L and Volumes (TEUs, CBMs) in line with set Budgets.

• Supervise and manage the operational performance for the Region.

• Attain budgetary and target objectives through analysis and optimization of costs and cost structures.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the operational dynamics involved in handling individual files by a single operator (1F1O) within business operations.

• Conduct regular meetings with Marketing & Sales (M&S) for Business growth.

• Ensure OPS and FIN data quality, with accurate booking of costs, revenue, and shipment details.

• Manage relationships with carriers and other vendors.

• Coordinate with network offices.

• Gather and provide market intelligence.

• Propose new product launches.

• Inspire and lead the team of Ocean Freight experts in West India.

Skills:

Solid experience in Ocean Freight Pricing, Operations, Customer Services & Documentation.

Knowledge on Ocean Freight Product (FCL & LCL) pricing for Exports & Imports.

Trade Laws & Regulations.

Pricing Structure.

Knowledge of the Indian Export & Import Trade, Trade Lanes / Routes and their Key Drivers, Commodities, Major Players.

Knowledge of the Indian Shipping & Logistics Industry including Ocean services to / from India and their Operations, ICD / CFS set up un India, LCL Consolidation Market, Major players in these segments.

Process Excellence.

Vendor Management.

Ability to achieve high levels of service delivery.

Experience & Qualification:

Experience: Minimum 15 yrs in the Shipping & Logistics Industry.

Education: Graduate or MBA/Equivalent from a reputed Institute.
