As a Factory EHS Officer/Engineer the person shall assist the workers / staff regarding safety operations and further in the implementation of Environment, Health and Safety measures within the factory. He is also responsible to comply with legal and other requirements to ensure an incident free work at Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

establishing EHS requirements at workplace within the factory.

the quality of PPEs and safety gadgets.

factory emergency response plan and conduct periodic mock drill at factory.

the training needs, schedule the training and impart training to staff, visitors, sub-contractors and workmen.

EHS inspection / Peptalk to be done.

inspection on a weekly or daily basis.

the compliance of legal requirements at Factory.

of EHS risk assessment and facilitate safe operating procedures.

the factory specific SOP’s to meet the factory EHS requirements.

periodical inspection, identify the safety issues, analyze the incident trends and initiate necessary corrective and preventive action at the factory.

and appraise the EHS performance and facilitate for improvement.

in coordination with the workers.

the implementation of Factory work permit system.

of factory EHS statistics and reporting it to Factory Manager on a weekly or monthly basis.

reporting of EHS deviations to Factory Manager for continual improvement.

campaigns, competitions and other special emphasis programs to promote EHS culture.

of fire-fighting equipment and conduct fire drill at factory premises.

of incident should be as per the communication protocol set by HQ.

track of safety audits and inspections.

accountable for fixing safety hazards.

training needs and conduct training for workmen / staff.

reporting of EHS deviation to Factory Manager.

Technical Expertise:

knowledge in basic electronics, electrical, civil and mechanical concepts.

on ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.

in Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Aspect Impact Assessment.

knowledge of lifting tools and tackles, Plant and Machinery.

to provide effective training.

to execute safety measures in case of any discrepancies.
