Chief Operating Officer

We are hiring for our client - an early stage startup focussed on manufacturing sustainable building materials.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution:

-Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and goals in alignment with the company’s overall mission and objectives.

- Lead the creation of business policies and standard operating procedures to streamline the operations and ensure efficiency.

Manufacturing Unit Establishment:

- Scout for suitable locations to establish the manufacturing unit and finalize the selection based on feasibility, accessibility, and other key factors.

- Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to finalize the plant layout, including ancillary buildings, material storage, finished product yard, and logistics facilities.

● Regulatory Compliance & Liaison:

- Work closely with local authorities and agencies to secure all necessary permits and approvals for the operations.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards for the manufacturing unit.

● Supply Chain & Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and finalize contracts with equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

- Plan and establish a robust supply chain network, ensuring a steady flow of raw materials and other necessary resources.

● Team Building & Leadership:

- Develop the organizational structure and hire a skilled team for production and operations.

- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

● Proven experience in operational leadership roles, particularly in manufacturing or industrial settings.

● Strong understanding of supply chain management, production processes, and quality control.

● Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
