The candidate for this position will be responsible for following metrics :
Responsibilities
Development of dynamic simulation model of a unit using:
Honeywell UniSim
AspenTech Aspen Hysys
Yokogawa VM simulation software
Steady state modeling, DCS
Building an unit or plant model
Full start-up and shutdown on the model and run a series of quality checks, before handing over the model for further integration
Understanding of the plant PFDs, P&IDs, H&MB and reading/extractive data from the Equipment Data Sheets.
Delivering the models within a stipulated time frame and defend the model with the end customer during the Model Acceptance Test (MAT), where the customer would check the model behavior, the data used and the assumptions made, if any, while building the model.
Development of operator graphic screens, integrating them with the dynamic model, so that the operator could run the model from the graphic screens and also integrate the DCS control schemes with the model.
Identifying the scientific principles/concepts that are applicable in a given situation.
Leading a Team of APE (Assistant Process Engineers) & Ability to guide in their day to day tasks to impart necessary knowledge and skills
Skills & Qualifications required:
Master or Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (with 60% marks throughout)
Candidate should definitely have strong technical abilities in order to succeed in this role
Excellent written and verbal communication, is a must
Experience required: 7-8 years of work experience (preferably in the Chemical industry). Out of which minimum 3 to 4 years of experience must be in OTS. Should have either led at least two to three OTS projects
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Readiness to travel: in India and abroad [to the customer site for customer interactions and acceptance tests]
