Job Title: Structural Design Engineer – UAE Transco

Job location - Gurugram, Haryana

MISSION

Designate to be responsible on behalf of Consulting Engineer as Structural Design Engineer for the company’s projects, especially the projects of Energy and control project activities for the Company’s projects in Middel East region. Work Closely with Stakeholders (Management, Client Engineers and Managers, Contractors and personnel related to the project. Implement and respect strictly Tractebel’ s Ethics and compliance policies / guidelines.

REPORTING LINES

This role reports operationally to the Product Manager T&D

YOUR JOB FUNCTIONS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)

** Must have experience working on Abu Dhabi Transco Projects.

Carry out basic engineering and design review for Energy projects, especially Transco and equivalent authorities within UAE and ME.

Carry out the technical support for the other company’s projects, if requested to.

Carry out detailed site surveys for new substations and extension of existing substations for the Energy projects.

Participate in preparing Conceptual design reports and cost estimates for the Energy projects.

Participate in preparing Scope of Works and BOQ and Works Tender Documents.

Undertake Technical and Commercial Evaluation of Bids received related to Civil discipline.

Attend Kick off meetings, Monthly project meeting, Weekly site review meetings to ensure project complies with the specifications.

Ensure project Completes within the specified period.

Direct the site supervision staff as required.

Co-ordinate with the Site team for timely implementation of the project.

Ensure HSE requirements are complied in all project stages.

Assist Project manager to Prepare and Issue Snag lists, Provisional Acceptance Certificate, Final Acceptance certificates and closeout reports.

YOUR CAPABILITIES (DEGREE, EXPERIENCE, OTHER CERTIFICATES IF REQUIRED, SOFT SKILLS)

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s in civil engineering from a reputable university.

Experience:

Should have worked for minimum 10 years’ experience in similar roles.

Familiarity with International and local standards

Experience in working with Substation projects.

Must be conversant with Safety Rules and procedures.

Working knowledge in using aided software like MS office, AutoCAD, etc.
