Expertise troubleshooting large Server Environments and familiarity with Hardware components.
Fundamental awareness of Private, Hybrid, Public Cloud, OS: Windows and/or Linux, Virtualization
Knowledge and understanding of DHCP, SSH, Telnet, TFTP
Good Understanding of Hardware components at Server level & Data Center Configuration
Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols and OSI model
Experience of Hardware components of the Blade server (HP), Cisco UCS
Understanding on server hardware component and design
Knowledge of Windows Azure Platform services and offerings
Understanding of different cloud models like IAAS, PAAS and SAAS
Troubleshooting basic connectivity issues like Switch-port, fiber cable (LC,SC)
Understanding of networking concepts including IP Addressing, Subnetting, DHCP, technologies
Familiarity with DB tools (Kusto, SQL, etc.)
Understanding of geo balancing, geo-redundancy of cloud technologies preferred
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Leadership skills: Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills.
Feedback/Metrics collection techniques to expose live site/service issues
Support a 24x7 live site support model for the services team owns
